Romans 10.4

Christ has fulfilled the Law, keeping it perfectly while he walks the earth. His righteous life becomes the basis of our justification, through faith, before God. Everyone who believes has an interest in his bloodshed on the cross. Everyone who confesses, as it were, his sins and reaches out his hand to place it on the Lamb of God, has his guilt borne by him and receives his righteousness from him.

Lord, how foolish to try to keep the Law so as to earn salvation when I am not able to keep it and Your Son has already kept it to perfection. Those who seek salvation by some man-invented way forsake their own mercy and walk down the broad path that leads to destruction. I thank you for Your grace-gift of Christ's righteousness, without which I could never stand before You.

"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." Romans 10.4
