Proverbs 10:28

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: But the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Proverbs 10:28

The hope of the righteous man will be fulfilled, and he will rejoice. But the wicked's hope shall be cut off forever. Those whose hope is in the Lord shall not be disappointed, but hopes founded on our own will or desires apart from the Lord's will, cannot ultimately endure.

O Lord, my hope is in You alone. Let all of my hopes be founded upon Your promises and on Your clear leadings in my life. If you put a good desire in my heart to serve You in a particular way, may that hope not perish if it is truly found to be will. But let me not make the transient treasures and pleasures of this life my hope.
